Uist News, Wednesday 22nd July A damp start to the day here on Uist today. It is forecast to remain cloudy for the rest of the day with temperatures of up to 14 degrees. The South Uist games are taking place on Askernish Machair today. Competitors would have been up early getting ready this morning for another day of competitions and hoping for a few more prizes after the North Uist Games last week. If you are on Uist today, why not pop along to the games to watch the competitors battle it out in the traditional Highland athletics, piping competitions and Highland dancing. There will also be local stalls serving delicious food to keep you going all day.
